The Lake in the Hills resident’s five-layer protective racing suit offers no relief. On most summer days, temperatures can reach up to 150 degrees in Pierce’s Super Late Model race car – making him feel like he’s being cooked in a small oven.
“You have to put it out of your mind,” Pierce said.
