Livin’ large at Lakemoor Fest
LAKEMOOR – The village of Lakemoor may not be larger, but it is no stranger to major fun. Those at Saturday’s Lakemoor Fest were knee-deep in local fare – sipping cold brews and lemon shake-ups, and dancing like no one is looking to Centerfold.
The newly expanded Morrison Park tucked next to Lily Lake was in full swing by noon. People crowded the festival grounds, drawn by beautiful weather and the mouth-watering aroma of food vendors.
Angela Quinlan of Lakemoor was with family. Her husband, Ryan, and 4-year-old son, Riordan, feasted on hot dogs and homemade potato chips while their 10-week-old son, Grayson, napped in his stroller, paying no mind foot-tapping music. The faint clinking of a horseshoe tournament was barely audible in the distance.
