Bears' Urlacher vows to be ready for opener
BOURBONNAIS – Brian Urlacher walked outside after lunch Sunday and offered one of the biggest guarantees of training camp.
It had nothing to do with a Super Bowl win for the Bears and everything to do with a balky left knee that has sidelined Urlacher for 12 days and counting.
“September 9th, I’ll be ready to play, for sure,” Urlacher said, citing the date for the Bears' regular-season opener at Soldier Field. “That’s really all that matters to me.
