Concert for the Cure takes place 6:30 a.m. Aug. 18 at Stade’s Farm and Market, 3709 W. Miller Road, McHenry.

The event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society featuring a 5K trail run and one-mile fun run starting at 6:30 a.m. Six acts will perform at the concert starting at noon, including Alexis Chancellor, Western Sky Band, Rough Night Out, Kevin Purcell & the Nightburners, “American Idol” finalist Gina Glocksen Band and Modern Day Romeos.

There will also be children’s activities, rides, a vendor fair, beer garden and food. Hosts: North McHenry Relay for Life Committee, Star 101.5 and Y103.9.
