CARY – The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 11th annual golf outing Aug. 24 at Foxford Hills Golf Club, 6800 S. Rawson Bridge Road, Cary. Proceeds will support the Cary Grove Food Pantry, which feeds about 300 local families each month.

The outing begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. It is a scramble where teams play best ball each hole. Trophies and prizes are awarded. The cost is $125 and includes breakfast, lunch, golf and two carts per foursome. The event also includes raffles and contests, including a hole-in-one contest for a new car or $10,000 in cash. Last year, nearly 100 local business leaders participated.
