Wool Street Grill closes for business

CARY – Wool Street Grill & Sports Bar, 800 Feinberg Court, Cary, closed for business late last week.

The restaurant opened in January 2008. Wool Street Grill in Barrington will remain open.

"We'd like to thank the Cary community for the four and a half years we were here. And hopefully we'll see them again in another venture," said co-owner Mark Green.

Wool Street had been active in the community, hosting chamber events and community gatherings and fundraisers. It was a top sponsor of chamber events, including SportsFest, which will be held this Sunday.

Wool Street Grill recently partnered with Fifth Third Bank in Cary this summer to raise funds to send six World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the WWII Memorial. Wool Street hosted a reception in the veterans' honor when they returned.
