Inaccurate headline
To the Editor:
The headline of the Pavlin settlement article on Aug. 9 was outrageous. It makes it sound like they were at fault. The bias of the Northwest Herald in favor of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department is embarrassing.
The Pavlins settled for $300,000. That’s not chump change. The deputies were wrong, and employees throughout the sheriff’s department know it.
