A triple whammy for board

CRYSTAL LAKE – Three top administrative leaders will step down from the McHenry County Mental Health Board this fall.

The shakeup includes the resignation of Executive Director Sandy Lewis, who is going to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. In November, she will become an assistant professor of psychiatry and director of a mental health treatment center.

“While the announcements arrived simultaneously, these decisions were independent and signify an important transition for the McHenry County Mental Health Board and our community,” board President Lee Ellis said in a memo to board staff and agency representatives Thursday.
