Algonquin officials see a special intersection in action

ALGONQUIN – A visit to a continuous-flow intersection in Colorado provided insights into the proposed improvements for the Algonquin and Randall roads intersection, Algonquin village and county officials said.

Village Board President John Schmitt and Trustee Jerry Glogowski spoke about the trip at a village Committee of the Whole meeting this week.

Schmitt and Glogowski looked at an example of a continuous flow intersection in Loveland, Colo., with others on the trip, among them County Board Chairman Ken Koehler and state Sen. Pam Althoff, R-McHenry, Transportation Committee Chairwoman Anna May Miller and McHenry County Economic Development Corp. President Pam Cumpata.
