Bears' Urlacher remains confident
BOURBONNAIS – Brian Urlacher did not protest this week when he learned that he would undergo arthroscopic surgery to clean his damaged left knee.
“No,” Urlacher said Thursday. “If it was something major, yeah. But the ‘scope’ is a one- to two-week recovery, so it doesn’t seem like that big a deal to me.”
Urlacher spoke for the first time since his surgery Tuesday to clean out his damaged left knee, which he injured in last season’s finale against Minnesota. He thought that he was healthy when he reported to training camp, but pain and swelling returned to his knee after several practices and eventually required arthroscopic surgery.
