Gallery in the Garden donates $5,948 to CASA

WOODSTOCK – This year’s Gallery in the Garden art show July 28 and 29 had record attendance, organizers announced.

Just less than 1,600 attended the seventh annual show at 600 Lawndale Ave., Woodstock, organizer Deb Glaubke said.

More than 50 area artists and musicians exhibited and performed at the show, which was a short walk from the Woodstock Square.

For a third consecutive year, a portion of the proceeds was donated to Court Appointed Special Advocates of McHenry County, which provides volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system and provides information to the court and helps develop a more effective juvenile court process.

Through donations and each artist’s contribution of 20 percent of sales, Gallery in the Garden was able to donate $5,948 to CASA.
