LAKE IN THE HILLS – A Lakewood woman under the influence of alcohol lost control of her vehicle, struck a parked car and ended up in yard, according to authorities.

Requa Amend, 45, was charged with driving under the influence, driving on a sidewalk and improper lane usage Tuesday.

Amend was driving a white Hummer in a residential area near the intersection of Thunder Ridge and Harvest Gate at around 9:30 p.m. when she drove off the road and struck a parked car, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department. The impact of the collision moved the vehicle into a yard and the Hummer ended up in a grassy near the sidewalk.
