Real state problem
To the Editor:
It is about time the public is correctly informed about our state’s financial trouble. It is not the teachers pension system that is at fault.
The teachers contributed to their retirement (TRS and SURS) throughout their teaching (no Social Security) because the state required the deductions from pay. We have earned our retirement incomes!
