Richmond jumps into video gaming
RICHMOND – Village leaders have approved a video gambling ordinance, voting 5-0 to allow gaming terminals at liquor-licensed businesses.
In the vote Thursday night, the village joined several McHenry County municipalities with video gambling. Nearby, Spring Grove, Fox Lake and McHenry have approved it for bars, truck stops, veterans posts and certain other businesses.
Trustee and village President Pro Tem Dennis Bardy presided at Thursday’s meeting. Acting Village President Peter Koenig was absent.
