To the Editor:

Soon-to-be former County Board Chairman Ken Koehler is confused. He argued that the referendum to let the voters decide whether to elect the County Board chairman is politically motivated because he was the only person to challenge our state representative, Jack Franks.

Koehler has it all backward. Franks is the only elected official fighting the good-old-boy network of cronyism and insider deals. Additionally, Franks is the only one who has ever challenged the all-powerful County Board chairman.
