Mental health board: Speed counts in leader search

CRYSTAL LAKE – The McHenry County Mental Health Board plans to move quickly in its search for a new executive director, members said Monday night in the first meeting since Sandy Lewis announced her resignation effective in November.

The board, a county taxing body, oversees funding and coordinates programs for 24 social service agencies.

Board President Lee Ellis said the umbrella organization probably would be looking at a six-month process if the position goes to a bidding process.
