County Board mess
To the Editor:
The McHenry County Board has made its bed, and now it’s going to have to try to sleep in it.
For the past several years, pressure has been building for the board to change its age-old method of selecting a County Board chairman from within its own ranks. It had a golden opportunity during the redistricting process last year to allow for direct election of the chairman and passed on it.
