Money-mad MCC
To the Editor:
McHenry County College pays $32,000 for a study on compensation to see if it is competitive. Does MCC realize that there is unemployment in this country (including among qualified applicants for any position MCC might wish to fill) of around 15 percent including those out of work more than a year and part-time employed?
If MCC announced a position, there would be dozens – hundreds – of applicants, whether the pay was average, or 1 percent, or 10 percent or more below average.
