Night-shift work a balancing act mentally, physically

McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Robb Tadelman is a night owl.

The more-than-eight-year veteran of the sheriff’s office has spent more than half of his tenure working the night shift from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. That includes working five consecutive days and then two days off.

He also has been married for more than six years and has two young children.
