Woodward picks Rockford area for $200M expansion
LOVES PARK – Gov. Pat Quinn's office confirms that Woodward Inc. has picked the Rockford area for a new $200 million manufacturing campus that will create 660 jobs over the next five years.
The new campus will feature a 300,000-square-foot production plant and office center over 60 acres. Quinn's office confirmed the plan before his official announcement Thursday in Loves Park.
Woodward currently employs about 1,500 people in Loves Park and Rockton, and Quinn says Woodward plans to double that workforce by 2021.
