To the Editor:
McHenry County College is in the news again. It has commissioned another study, this time to determine if it is paying its employees enough money in comparison to the private sector.
Well, I’ve got news for college officials. Their employees fall in the public sector, two-thirds of their pay coming from property taxes. I may be showing my age, but I remember a time when they received modest pay in exchange for good benefits and job security.
