McHenry parks program to offer basket-making class
McHENRY – The McHenry Parks and Recreation Department will offer a basket-making program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Lakeland Park Community Center, 1717 N. Sunset Ave., McHenry.
Participants will build a simple market basket that measures 8 inches by 10 inches by 4 inches high with a double wire handle and a wood handle grip. The rectangular basket is a quick and easy weave and can have many uses.
The program is for adults and children 12 and older. Registration is required.
