New lanes, bridge greet Rakow drivers

If you’re one of the many drivers who travel down Rakow Road, you know about the significant lane changes in recent days:

• ROUTE 31 AND RAKOW ROAD: More turn lanes have opened up, especially the right-turn lane to get from southbound Route 31 to westbound Rakow. A “yield” sign, which Detour’s wife doesn’t like one bit, requires drivers taking that turn lane to be mindful of oncoming traffic.

• RAKOW’S OTHER LANE: Rakow Road is still a two-lane road, but workers shifted the westbound lane to the new asphalt laid down this year.
