To the Editor:

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why any woman would vote for a Republican candidate. Besides the recent outrageous comments by Republican Todd Akin, who stated that women’s bodies can prevent pregnancy in a “legitimate” rape, there is really a war on women’s health fostered by Republicans.

In 2012, do we women want a man telling us we’re sluts if we use contraceptives? Or that we cannot get a (legal) abortion, even in the case of rape or incest? No! They even want to cut funds to Planned Parenthood, which provides many services and cancer screenings.
