Early-morning blaze destroys Richmond barn
RICHMOND – An early-morning fire Monday destroyed a barn in Richmond, authorities said.
The Richmond Township Fire Department was called to the 5600 block of Tryon Grove about 1 a.m. for a report of a barn engulfed in flames, Fire Chief Rick Gallas said. Crews arrived to find only the wooden skeleton of the building remaining.
“That area isn’t well-traveled, and it was very foggy,” Gallas said. “If you drove by while it was happening, you probably couldn’t even see it.”
