To the Editor:

I am surprised with the sedentary people in the village of Cary. You are all out there complaining about and appealing your taxes. But when it comes down to actually doing something about the runaway spending of the Cary Park District, you are sitting on your hands.

We attended the Cary Park District meeting on Aug. 23, and a whopping four of us showed up. For those of you who don’t know it, on July 28 the park district announced its intention to buy Chalet Hills Golf Club. Our village already owns a money pit of a golf course, so why would we need another one?
