Marengo officials have indefinitely canceled brush drop-off at the wastewater treatment plant, as construction crews start upgrading the decades-old plant.
Officials have not decided when residents can again start dropping off brush at the plant. The city broke ground on the $12 million renovation project earlier this month. Construction may not be complete until early 2014.
Officials also announced this week that the next citywide brush pick-up will be on Monday, Nov. 5. Residents need to place all brush on the curb before the morning.
