On the Record With ... Andrew Warmus
ALGONQUIN – Andrew Warmus is the utilities superintendent for the village of Algonquin. He oversees the village’s water plant, wastewater plant and the underground utility crew of the Public Works Department.
He has worked for the village for 17 years, starting out as a sewer operator. At the wastewater treatment plant, Warmus helps tend to a vegetable garden where the village grows produce that is donated to the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Food Pantry.
Warmus recently was named Operator of the Year by the Illinois Association of Water Pollution Control Operators.
