Wisconsin man died in aircraft crash
WALWORTH – A Wisconsin man died shortly after his aircraft crashed into a cornfield just after it took off.
John C. Evans, 61, of Darien, Wis., was conscious when rescuers arrived on the scene at BigFoot Air Field in Walworth, Wis. Evans gave authorities a brief statement before he lost consciousness and died shortly after at the hospital, the Walworth County, Wis. Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
The incident happened about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
