WOODSTOCK – No disciplinary action has been taken against a Court Services official who was charged with drunken driving earlier this month.
On Aug. 4, Bull Valley police charged Roger A. Bacon, 47, of Wonder Lake, with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding 15 to 20 mph above the limit.
Bacon is chief managing officer of the Adult Division for Court Services, which oversees probation.
Court Services Director Phil Dailing said Bacon has been with the department “a number of years.”
“No action has been taken at this point,” Dailing said. “We’re awaiting the outcome of the case.”
Bacon’s attorney, Henry Sugden, said his client was taking leave to attend to an ill relative in Florida.
“He’s presumed innocent,” Sugden said.
