As a rainmaker in McHenry County, Isaac is another wet blanket
The pattern of drought-stricken McHenry County missing out on rain is likely to continue through the Labor Day weekend, even as the aftereffects of Hurricane Isaac make their way north, forecasters said Thursday.
McHenry County has received more than 16 inches of rain this year, 5 inches in the summer.
Normally it would have had 24 inches, half of that in the summer, National Weather Service meteorologist Richard Castro said.
