LAKE IN THE HILLS – The village has issued a strategy to encourage economic development in the municipality, from ways to promote commercial investment to areas targeted for development.

“We’re here to expand the economic opportunity in Lake in the Hills, think outside the box, and unleash the entrepreneurial spirit around here,” said Gino DeVivo, the economic development coordinator who put together the strategic plan.

“The plan notes the need to continue expansion of the property and sales tax base to provide the level of service expected and enjoyed by the residents,” Community Development Director Dan Olson said in a memo to the Village Board.
