Summer Sunset Festival schedule

The following events are taking place at Lake in the Hills Summer Sunset Festival this weekend at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road, Lake in the Hills. Hours are 3 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Free admission. Information: 847-960-7400 or www.summersunsetfest.com.

Aug. 31
3 to 10:30 p.m. – Food vendors / beer garden
3 to 10:30 p.m. – Carnival
3 to 7 p.m.– Carnival ride wristbands
6 to 10 p.m. – Car show
6:30 to 10:30 p.m. – Billy Croft & the 5-Alarm, Mike & Joe
7 p.m. – Sunset 5K

Sept. 1
10 a.m. – Parade
11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. – Food vendors / beer garden (beer sales start at noon)    
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Arts & craft show
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Kids' Korner
10:30 p.m. – Carnival
Noon to 4 p.m. – Carnival ride wristbands
12:30 p.m. – Horseshoe tournament
2 p.m. – Melon Propellin' competition
2 to 5 p.m. – Battle of the Bands
6:30 to 10:30 p.m. – No Left Turn, 25 or 6 to 4

Sept. 2
11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. – Food vendors / beer garden (beer sales start at noon)    
Noon to 10:30 p.m. – Carnival
Noon to 4 p.m. – Carnival ride wristbands
Noon – Bags tournament (check in at 11 a.m.)
Noon to 5 p.m. – Business expo
1 to 5 p.m. – Kids' Korner
2 to 4 p.m. – Got Talent?
5:30 to 9:30 p.m. – AEROTRIP, comedian AJ Lubecker, Libido Funk Circus
9:30 p.m. – Fireworks finale
