ROCKFORD – The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter seeks outgoing and engaging individuals to become Alzheimer’s Association community representatives in DeKalb, Rockford and the Crystal Lake area.

This volunteer position is an opportunity to make an impact in generating awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. Community representatives assist the Alzheimer’s Association education team by presenting brief education programs in the communities they serve and representing the association at health fairs and other community events.

Those in the role also speak to community organizations about the mission, programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as perform outreach to church, school or senior clubs.
