Library to begin game for National Library Card Month

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The Huntley Area Public Library will celebrate National Library Card Month in September with a new twist.

Patrons can pick up a Libraryopoly Game Board at the library beginning Saturday, Sept. 1, and start collecting game pieces. They may visit up to 18 local businesses that are participating in the monthlong event.  Bonus tickets are available by using the library services on the game board.

Patrons then can enter all their tickets at the library for a chance to win one of three Kindle eReaders, sponsored by the Friends Foundation.  The more tickets collected, the greater the odds of winning.

Those who don’t have a library card can visit the library with proof of residence to get one free of charge.

Patrons can play Libraryopoly through the month of September, and they must submit all tickets by Sept. 30.

Winners will be drawn Oct. 1.

For information, call 847-669-5386.
