HUNTLEY – A state of Illinois “Super Senior Class” will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the American Legion Hall, 11712 Coral St.

The event, sponsored by Grafton Township Supervisor Linda Moore, will allow seniors to review the rules of the road in preparation for a written driving test and allows seniors to renew their driver’s licenses or obtain a free state identification card.

A rules of the road refresher course will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. It’s designed to give drivers, especially seniors, the knowledge and confidence to renew or obtain a driver’s license.

The mobile driver’s license event will allow attendees to renew or correct their driver’s license; obtain a new state ID or renew or correct an existing one; buy license plate stickers; register a vehicle with the renewal of a driver’s license or ID card; register to be an organ donor with the renewal of a driver’s license or ID card; and obtain a free state ID for seniors 65 and older.

To find out what documents are considered acceptable for identification and what fees are involved, call 217-782-7044 or visit the Illinois Secretary of State website at www.cyberdriveillinois.com.

To register for this event, call Moore’s office at 847-669-3328. Registration is free, but donations to the Grafton Township Food Pantry will be accepted.
