Former Chicago Bear appointed to lottery board
CHICAGO – Gov. Pat Quinn has appointed a member of the 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl team to the state's Lottery Control Board.
Quinn appointed Gary Fencik to the board. Fencik is a former safety and captain of the Bears defense. Quinn's appointment is temporary pending confirmation by the Illinois Senate. Until then Fencik is an acting member of the board.
