Crystal Lake police seek CVS robber

Crystal Lake police are looking for a man who robbed a local pharmacy at gunpoint Sunday night.

The man, armed with a black, semiautomatic handgun, approached a pharmacist at 10:38 p.m. Sunday at the CVS on Randall Road and displayed a note demanding Oxycodone, a strong pain reliever, Crystal Lake police said in a news release.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late twenties, about 6 feet tall, with a stocky build, red facial hair and a goatee, police said. He was wearing a ball cap, sunglasses, jeans, a black T-shirt and a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. Witnesses told police that the suspect spoke with an accent, possibly European.
