INGLESIDE – A fire left a one-story house at 35384 Shoreline Drive uninhabitable Monday morning. No one was hurt in the fire called in about 8:15 a.m., and no one was home at the time.

A passerby saw the fire and told a neighbor to call for help, said Fox Lake Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Tom Preidis. Crews had the fire under control in about a half-hour and were on the scene until about 11 a.m. A damage estimate was not available, but the house is uninhabitable, Preidis said. The fire is under investigation.
