Claims come for money found in Johnsburg garden
WOODSTOCK – Just more than a year after a Johnsburg man found $150,000 in his vegetable garden, two parties have come forward claiming it: an elderly woman’s family and a Naperville liquor store.
The family of the woman, who lives near where the money was found, notified the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office within the past few weeks, Undersheriff Andrew Zinke said.
Zinke said the woman suffers from dementia.
