Democratic candidate leaves McHenry County Board race
McHenry County Board Democratic candidate Lori
McConville has bowed out of the race to pursue a “personal business opportunity.”
McConville filed a week ago to remove her name from the Nov. 6 ballot for County Board District 3, County Clerk Katherine Schultz said.
Her decision leaves incumbent Kathleen Bergan Schmidt as the district’s sole Democrat to run against four Republicans for four open seats.
