Gas gouging
To the Editor:
The Northwest Herald ran a story last week telling readers that Illinois was going to be on the lookout for gas gouging.
An area gas station charged $3.92 a gallon for regular on Aug. 30, and on Sept. 1 the price jumped to $4.35. Another station went from $3.91 to $4.24. I would call this gouging in light of the fact it was the start of the Labor Day weekend.
People are really getting tired of yo-yo gas prices.
