Lunch from home makes less waste for landfills

Making a home-packed lunch is less expensive and produces less solid waste than fast food. So people should keep in mind how important that choice is, especially when food courts and other public places can be neglectful in providing recycling bins.

Usually food, glass, plastics and polystyrene all go into one trash can for disposal in a landfill.

Resources and money can be saved by taking a lunch in a reusable container and trying to reuse take-out containers, food wrappers and other plastic packaging.
