Man accused in double White County killing
CARMI, Ill. — A southern Illinois man is accused of killing a couple who went missing while on a camping and fishing outing.
Prosecutors in White County have charged 36-year-old Danny Coston of Carmi with first-degree murder in the deaths of 17-year-old Jessica Evans and 22-year-old Jacob Wheeler.
Sheriff Doug Maier says the victims had been camping and fishing along the Little Wabash River when they were reported missing Aug. 26 after they didn't return home.
