When I was growing up, my mother used to have the radio on in the kitchen from the time she got up until she went to bed.
WGN was the station of choice, with Wally Phillips in the morning, Orion Samuelson at midday, Bob Collins in the afternoon.
But one of my favorites always was Paul Harvey and “The Rest of the Story.”
