Re: “Down to last pill,” by Donald Allen (It’s Your Write, Aug. 31).

It is unfortunate that the stories Mr. Allen has read have caused him so much distress and anger that medication is necessary. I suggest a more holistic approach that will lead to less need for anger management. The approach is summed up nicely by Abraham Lincoln: “ I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.”
