To the Editor:
Why the preoccupation and media frenzy about candidates tax returns? Two of our greatest presidents – George Washington and Abraham Lincoln – were virtually at opposite ends of the economic spectrum. Washington was the richest president ever, and Lincoln one of the poorest. Both turned out to be rated as great leaders.
I say, publish the returns, review the returns, and then focus on what is critical.
Concentrate on the solutions and specifics the candidates have for addressing the problems in this country.
Remember, this is not about the 1 percent of Americans, this is not about the 99 percent of Americans. This is about the 100 percent of Americans.
