McHenry High to host marching band festival

McHENRY – McHenry High School will host its fifth annual McHenry Marching Festival on Saturday at McCracken Field.

Performances begin at 2 p.m. and include Crystal Lake Central, Prairie Ridge, Mundelein, Marengo, Grant and McHenry.

Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the gate.

This is a noncompetitive show focused on music education and the development of student fundamentals and musicianship.

The judging panel, which includes top university and high school directors from throughout Illinois, will serve as clinicians for the bands after their performances.
