Olympian Jager honored at Jacobs High School

ALGONQUIN – Olympian Evan Jager was honored this afternoon at the school where he won four state titles.

Jager, 23, took sixth place in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Summer Olympic Games in early August in London. He is the fastest American to ever run the race.

A 2007 Jacobs graduate, Jager came back to Algonquin to visit family, so his former high school planned a celebration in his honor.
