Woodstock lets go of parking

WOODSTOCK – The city finally has agreed to on-street parking dedicated for private use, an issue that’s been on agendas for a month and a half.

A lease was drafted with business owner Tom Harding, granting him exclusive use of eight parking spaces near his building at 113 Newell St. Harding needed at least eight more parking spaces to rent the building to the Department of Human Services and the Department of Children and Family Services.

The lease did not come without serious haggling over price.
